I know there were people I spoke with last year that really wanted something other than type 1. What else would you guys like to see played this year?

Well... You should hit The Deep on Friday nights around 6 to spread the word. The local Friday Night Magic tournament yields about 50 people every week. And with the release of Rise of the Eldrazi, there will probably be more this coming Friday (April 23). There is a sanctioned level 1 Judge who plays every Friday named jacob. I forget his last name.

Will Cruise is a local player and currently holds the State Title from the 09' States tournament, he also vends and runs drafts at other events int he region. He has been talking about trying to host a big tournament for sometime now, but doesn't have a venue. You should contact him, he can get the word spread pretty quick and can also supply a good trade vendor.

Check out this fan page on Facebook. It is a group page for Huntsville locals who play magic. You can Find Will Cruise on its friends list. http://http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=320837035977

On another note, and I pointed this out last year, I havent heard one single word of this con in any social circle in North Alabama. I spoke with Ed (owner of the Deep) yesterday for nearly 30min and we talked about the Nashville con and dragon con, but he never mentioned this con.  No one at Friday Night Magic has mentioned it either. Seriously, this is not good. If the largest gaming forum in the city has no clue about it then something isnt being done right. I would come up to the Deep on Friday night hand out flyers, cause no one knows about it.

There is also a group of guys I know from Florence who do the con circuit and set up with about 150 long boxes of comics and 50,000 magic cards and they had never heard of Crisis Con, and Cons are their business....   : /

I go to The Deep every Friday, Saturday, and most of the times Sundays haha~ Running Spawn Beatdown this Friday~<3 Oh hey....think you guys could hold a Just for Fun EDH Tourny if we get enough people? That might get the Local EDH players(Josh, Phil, Anthony and a few others) to join in~ I could prolly get Josh to join in..and yea Will Cruise is a cool guy...tend to hate playing against him but he's helpful and points out mistakes to me after the game.

Edit:Who wants to bring a Type 4 deck? Grin haha
